Weekly Wrap Up (Week 3, Term 3)

In this Wrap Up, Te Whānau a Taraika farewell Chair Tim Poi as he steps down, we visit Blank Canvas opening night and fund raise for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. We look forward to International Week, and give you an update from the Careers Department. Not enough? We can add Breakfast Club, He Kākano, the Horticulture Trip to Palmerston North, the Year 10 and 11 Trade Fair, Hospitality and Food Tech students working with Kaibosh, Shakespeare Society, and Year 11 Jean Cleaver-Parris speaking at the National Library. And there is sport too: Badminton, Junior Boys Football and Cross Country not to mention the Outdoor Education Jumbo Circuit winter tramp. Its a Wrap Up that will leave you breathless.

Weekly Wrap Up (Weeks 1 & 2, Term 3)

This bumper Wrap Up includes important information and dates for the term ahead. Roots and Shoots have been out in the field for a beach clean-up and lizard rehabilitation project, Year 12 students have visited Kilbirnie Mosque as part of their English with Religion course and our Junior Premier debating team have made it to the quarter finals! On the sports front we congratulate Joe Sione who is Cadbury volunteer for July and get to know more about our Hockey, Netball and Junior Girls football teams.

Weekly Wrap Up (Week 12, Term 2)

We have raced towards the end of term with fantastic speed, fitting as much in as we can, and much is included here! This week the wrap up includes a link to the end of term message from the Principal, reviews open evening and the music evening, features powerful political discourse work from Year 10 computing, snowy footage from the Outdoor Education tramp and art work from WHSInk our Year 9 and 10 Art club. We also feature Councillor Tamatha Paul’s lunchtime lecture, the Roxy5 Film Festival and squeeze in a short report on the Boys 1st XI Football.

Weekly Wrap Up (Week 11, Term 2)

Sports are back! With reports from our junior girls football team, basketball and 1st XI boys football team, this Wrap Up is celebrating our return to competitive sport. Year 13 Drama students report on their production of ‘Girls like that’. The Wrap Up also includes information about the term 3 parent-teacher meetings, an announcement of the Board of Trustees by-election result, and an update on COVID-19 testing protocols.
