Term 2 will start on Monday 28 April. It is a busy term and there are a few key dates, and adjustments to some school days, that we’d like you to note:
- Monday 28 April: Junior student parent-teacher meetings 2.00pm-6.00pm. School will close at 1.20pm.
- Monday 19 May: Senior student parent-teacher meetings 2.00pm-6.00pm. School will close at 1.20pm.
- Tuesday 20 May – Friday 23 May: CAA exams (corequisite) for some students in Years 10 – 13. A modified timetable will run with periods 1-3 before lunch at 12.20 and periods 4 and 5 after lunch from 1.20pm. Parents and caregivers of students taking CAA exams will be contacted early next term.
- Thursday 29 May: Learning Conversations. You and your student will only come into school for their Learning Conversation.
- Friday 30 May: Teacher Only Day — school will be closed. This is our annual Wellington Loop day where staff from Wellington schools have the opportunity to meet and share best practice.
- Monday 2 June: Monarch’s Birthday — school will be closed
- Tuesday 3 June: Kāhui Ako teacher only day – school will be closed
- Monday 9 June: Open Evening for 2025 – school finishes at 3pm
- Friday 20 June: Matariki holiday – school will be closed.
- Friday 27 June: End of Term 2.
In cases where the school day finishes earlier, some classes may choose to offer tasks on Google Classroom to finish at home. School bus times cannot be changed so students may need to catch a public bus when we close early.
You can also view the school calendar on our website and via the WHS app. Your student’s rōpū teacher or Dean will check with your learner to make sure they know what is happening each day.
