Two Year 12 students, Conor Ivory and Rennie Pearson are part of the first New Zealand squad to compete in the under-19 ultimate Frisbee world championship in Dublin, and will be putting their accuracy and agility to the test against 22 other teams. Connor said training comprised of four matches a week, and “intense” sprint and vertical height training, and two 10km runs a week. “There’s a lot of fitness involved. Endurance is really important and you’ve got to have your throws down.”
