What’s Happening

Languages Faculty – Bonseki Demonstration

Last Friday, the Languages Faculty had the special honour of a visit from a Bonseki Master, Mrs. Naoko Masubuchi. Bonseki is the Japanese art of creating miniature landscapes using sand, pebbles and rocks. This art form perfectly showcases the Japanese concept of “mono no aware”, which is an appreciation of the beauty of impermanent things. Mrs. Masubuchi showcased this art to a number of classes in the Languages Department, as well as students in the Japan Club.

Music Event

Playground Live Music would like to invite your students to attend its next live music event at Newtown Community Centre, Corner of Colombo and Rintoul St, on the 22nd of March.

The acts performing are Mia-NinaHaircut in Lower Hutt (student/s from Wellington High), and Latitude (student/s from Wellington High, Wellington Girls College, and Queen Margarets).
